"Good shop, shipping was a little high"
Ordered a knife from riversedgecutlery.com and it all went fine. It was packed well and showed up in a normal amount of time.
Only knock is the shipping felt a bit high for what I ordered. Not a big deal, just bumped the total up more than I expected. Still happy overall.

"Preorder left me in the dark"
I placed a preorder with Rivers Edge Cutlery thinking it would be a simple process. The item looked great and I was excited about it, but once I paid, it felt like everything went quiet unless I reached out first.

The wait kept stretching out, and the updates I did get were vague. I understand preorders can take time, but I really didn’t like feeling left in the dark with no clear idea of what was happening or when to expect it.

It did eventually ship, which I’m glad about, but the whole experience was more frustrating than I expected. I’d probably think twice before preordering from them again.

The refund went through fine in the end, which was the main thing. I had to return a knife, and the whole process was easy overall. It took a couple of days to hear back, but once they replied, they sent clear instructions and everything went alright.

I was excited to get this, but it didn’t really live up to the pictures!! The photos made the knife look cleaner and nicer, but the one I received felt kind of dull and not as high-quality as I expected. For the price, I don’t think it was really worth it.

"Didn’t Find Many of My Usual Brands"
I was hoping to find more of the brands I normally buy, but a lot of them just weren’t there. I reached out to support and they basically said something like, “We’re always adding new brands, so keep checking back,” which was nice enough, but it didn’t really help me much right now. Overall, it was okay, just a bit disappointing since I couldn’t get most of what I was looking for.

The site itself was easy enough to use, and I found what I was looking for quickly. It worked fine on my phone, the filters made browsing the knives easier, and checkout was straightforward with no weird extra steps. That said, a few little things along the way made me feel slightly less sure about trusting the whole process than I expected. Overall, it was simple, but my confidence took a small hit.

I ordered a knife that said it was in stock, after paying I was half expecting an email saying it was backordered or unavailable. But it shipped out fine and arrived without any drama. Nice to see the inventory was actually accurate for once.

"Customer service was frustratingly slow"
I ordered from riversedgecutlery.com and, the item itself was totally fine, so no complaints there. But trying to get any kind of help from customer service was way more annoying than it needed to be. I sent a question about shipping and then just sat there waiting for days with nothing back.

When they finally did reply, it was super short and didn’t even really answer what I asked, which was frustrating. I had to follow up again just to get basic info. It wasn’t a total disaster, but come on, for an online shop I really expected faster and more helpful communication

"Shipping dragged on forever"
I ordered a knife and the shipping felt like it took ages. The tracking barely moved for days, which was probably the most frustrating part because I kept checking it and nothing changed. The knife did eventually show up, but by then I was already in a bad mood about the whole thing.

I know delays happen, and I’m usually patient, but this one just felt excessive. Also, the lack of real updates made it worse. I was excited when I placed the order, then annoyed, then kind of over it by the time it arrived. Not sure I’d order from them again.

"The knife showed up quickly..."
The knife showed up quickly and looked good right out of the package (always a nice start). It was sharp enough at first, but i expected it to be a bit better for the price. After a few uses, I already felt like it needed a quick touch-up (not a huge deal, but still). Overall, it’s not bad at all, just kind of average for me.
